For some reason the spiderbot enemies in Deus Ex made me uncomfortable. I think it's part their metallic crawling sounds and part how fast they were moving. Whenever I heard them crawling around, I'd often just go out of my way to find a different route to avoid them.

these niggas have AI bullshit that know where you can't see and will only move on tiles you don't have vision on, somehow
they shouldn't know but they do
they try to never end their turn in a tile you can see too so they won't attack unless they have the TU to run away and hide
they become retarded once you get sentinel armor though, they run away from you instead of attacking unless you stand right next to them, so they know they can run away
scary enemy though because of this they tend to just appear out of nowhere or you can find them just standing two tiles behind you, watching you

This, from Zelda 2. I hear some people were pretty freaked out by the Cheep Cheep jumping over the course. I was always more unsettled by the course itself. Endless ocean, air is nothing but darkness, a lone and empty ruin, and of course the boardwalk itself, all in the middle of nowhere.

Not really an enemy but in one of the Shrek games for PC in a forest section there was a shadowy figure that would "look around" from behind a tree at me and disappear behind it after a couple seconds. After that happened 3 times I ALT F4'd and never played it again it creeped younger me out so bad
