I have no idea what kind of person has allegiance to Donkey Kong as a character.
All 3 of his arcade games are wildly different. All 3 DKC games have wildly different level design (and DK himself is not even playable in two of them). DK64 is just Banjo-Kazooie 2.5. And Returns/Tropical Freeze are fine SNES throwbacks but nothing really new or special. I have no idea what would cause someone to identify themselves as a "Donkey Kong" fan and what exactly that would mean.
