The real test on if they're serious about this will be the LoveR Kiss remaster they're releasing this fall. That game's material is far more provocative than anything in Lollipop Chainsaw and they're likely going to run into issues with platform censorship (the original already got censored by Snoy, and both Steam and Nintendo now have similar policies). If they don't hold their ground there, you can safely write them off as flakes.

Yeah. The remaster has other issues like bugs and wonky physics but you can play in either repop or original mode. The original mode keeps all the content the same, while repop only softens the amount of blood and gore. Though the cutscenes are a bit brighter than the original release but that's another issue entirely. I admit I didn't play the remaster myself so some of those issues might have been fixed with patches but the content was the same as the original right out the gate.
