It's still hilarious how disgusting this game looked. The hardware couldn't even be blamed since more intensive games on the Switch still looked better, and older FE games even looked better.

All the resources went into Monastery which is to say the thing everyone hates.
Combat animations look good, generic models look horrible, especially the battalions are a big offender. When you compare them to how arena duels look, you see how the game could have looked without scope creep.

The technology to make it look good is there, and as far as form goes it does, but the people in charge had horrible aesthetic sensibilities.

Aren't the portraits basically meant to look like photos on a ID card, like driver's license photos.
