i use a modded DS4
very simple mods, dome sticks and L/R button changes to feel more like the DS2
did that after discussing in one of these controller threads and honestly it's one of the best gaming related choice i ever made to the point i'm considering stocking up on DS4 and these specific mods to future proof

If you have to play shooters on console, then the xbox stick layout is superior, ideally with gyro. On PC that's not an issue, and you often use controllers for platformers, so the sony layout with a nicer dpad placement is just as good.

Xbox Sex
Switch 2 Pro-Con has better analog sticks but a worse dpad, might switch to a Steam Controller 2 if that ever materializes

These things are trash, they feel like cheap chinkshit I could break with one hand. The dpad sucks, the buttons suck, the triggers suck, the sticks suck.
