It starts off interesting but the ending is extremely rushed. Overall itโ€™s short too like 5 hours and it has many short side quests but thereโ€™s no open areas just tunnels with side paths and tiny towns. It has a new black woman so maybe itโ€™s considered woke I dunno. The parts where you donโ€™t play as Robocop suck balls.

Remind me of nu Deus Ex, there are small open areas with smaller cases to solve and shit to do like giving tickets to cars parking near fire hydrants in between hostile areas where you wreak havoc. I legitimately thought this game is just shoot people all the time so it actually surprised me that you're actually doing silly cop stuff in this game.

The cops in Robocop (at least the movie) are basically just out to do their jobs and survive. They're underfunded and understaffed, being murdered by Clarence Boddicker's gang. Even when the SWAT was ordered to shoot Robocop, most of the rank and file protested, because Robocop was actually getting shit done.

Not nearly as good as the main game across the board. The main game ran fine for me but this was chugging nonstop and it had tons of little glitches all over the place. I'm sure that'll get patched but the setting sucks and gets old real fast, the whole campaign revolves around locked doors and hearing a bitchy cunt yelling at robocop over the radio. The villain is boring and worst of all the flashback sections are boooring both in gameplay and story / characters. One of the flashbacks you play as a literal who that has zero bearing on the story whatsoever. The whole thing felt padded as shit, for every side quest I liked there was hours of shit to play through which is the complete opposite of my experience playing the main game.
Blowing shit up with the ED209 for five minutes was cool at least. On the whole its very disappointing.

He's also so heated over it that he forgot to actually make a solid point about it the whole movie.

It's literally that "look at all these white picket fences and men in uniform, doesn't that disgust you!" meme. He forgot the dystopia part outside of a few moments like implying people need permission to have kids, which is something he just made up on the spot. It's a bad society if you think seeing a poster saying "kill those damn dirty bugs!" is the worst thing imaginable.

I was just playing it and it crashed to desktop for no discernible reason. I'm running a right with a 4070 Ti Super so I dunno what the issue is.

Hopefully it's either a rare occurrence or will get patched eventually. More of the same game but seems... quieter. Like it's THAT jarring that we went from constantly nasally screaming crackheads to mostly silent mercs who say things sometimes but don't really scream in pain or whatever.

Is it really even better than robocop? But how does it work, if you play as a weaker human compared to terminators? I can't imagine playing as a thug against multiple robocops.

>But how does it work, if you play as a weaker human compared to terminators?
Exactly as you might expect. During the first few levels, you don't have access to a lot of fancy energy guns, being limited to kinetic weapons that do absolute jack shit to terminators. So you have to rely on stealth and improvisation. Which makes the hospital level one of the most tense levels in the game, where you are pitted against multiple T-800s that you can't damage, but they can and will one shot you. Afterwards you get access to plasma weapons that do damage the T-800's, but they are still spongy as fuck, so you still have to rely on stealth, hacking and wits. And then you continue to upgrade your plasma gear to the point that during the endgame you get so many crazy weapons, that you can fight the terminators on equal footing. It's actually very cathartic.
And yes, you can actually fuck Jennifer.

The only game breaking glitch I've heard of is that you can't swap weapon, it seems it's triggered when you pick up some heavy weapon like minigun, machinegun or cryogun and it doesn't register properly in inventory.
So I was vary so far of picking anything up, but again robo's pistol seems stronger from a get-go because you start with 3 PCBs right away and 2 pips in every skill.

Grabbing the nuts was something I didn't expect them to make a 'thing' beyond normal gangbangers. Usually armored enemies in games like this are only weak in the head or back, though they properly made it so the pelvis and legs - which have no armor - are vulnerable.

Arms too, apparently, had less.

Waiting for patches, but Rogue City was pretty good. I enjoyed it way more than I did Robocop 2, which I rewatched (alongside the first movie) before starting my playthrough. What an absolute shitshow this film was
>Murphy stalking his family plotline the goes fucking nowhere
>kid criminal that just dies
>OCP with nazi-like flags, clothes, and other paraphernalia
>the entire concept of the Robocop 2 program, when they can reprogram and upgrade Murphy anytime
>nigger mayor who deserves a bullet to the head for being obnoxious beyond belief
I'm glad they retconned some of this stuff in the game.

This sequence was kind of hilarious, I didn't mind it. It reminded me of that FatalFarm reshoot of the dickshot scene where there's just an infinite amount of rapists coming out of an endless amount of alleys. This games really good and they did a really great job of it. Just gonna beat The Old Man and that's a wrap.

It does freeze and crash from time to time, but still, it really captures the era, the universe that era is set in, and goes out of its way to engratiate the player in and within it. If anything, we got one more performance by Peter Weller out of it and spoilers, but I couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger on him in the game when given the option.

Its so strange but probably inevitable that many of the great franchises would end up with video games that recapture and expand their worlds but this one actually adds so much more to it. It can be lackluster and tedious at times, but simply hearing the iconic Robocop foot steps and maintaining that steady pace everywhere set the tone in so many ways. I hope the sequel is good and a patch of sorts fixes some of the issues but I'm looking forward to playing it again and hope to see more like this.

Robocop 2 is the best part of the sequel, obviously a company wants to sell a new, improved, more expensive version of their flagship product. It being a shitshow because the Old Man was horny and got deceived by a psychopathic grifter underling also works.

A big big BIG missed opportunity was to frame it as a rehab program for criminals and make out the city/police for being evil for opposing it.

One of the best AA games ever, and I had never even seen Robocop when I played it. I watched the movie afterward because the game was so good. They did a good job of limiting the scope in the game to avoid bloat or half-assed stuff, but everything they tried to do was done very well.

My all time favorite youtube comment is on the dilbert 3 song and it says "this is the song I'll play when I do it" and I laughed like an idiot the first time I seen that for an hour

I'm a PC player, the one real problem I had was during the competition with ED-209 fighting the bikers segment. The game started slowing down to a crawl. Restart fixed it.

I beat that oversized Roomba comfortably.

He also admitted that he never even read the book because he was too angry. Kinda based in a way. But it's hard to parody something you've never read, and that was his stated intention.

I think they're both pretty good. The movie is pretty hardcore and fun to watch, but the book is more interesting and also pretty hardcore. Would've been cool if the movie had those power armor orbital nuclear carpet bomb jumps that were in the book.

>go play an actual game
Sucks that you're in a nursing home and only get to play polish kusoge inbetween being used as a punching bag by your melaninated nurse.

I think I know why this bug can happen, at some point for some reason I could pick up to 6 healing items, and it fixed itself only after ed209 sequence. So that extra healing item could probably prevent picking up side weapons.

Yes, PCBs were so far the same, but now when I get the pistol back there's a new PCB which is insane. I heard in ng+ in base game were new PCBs but they were v.6, this one is 7.3
