It can be a bitch to get everything running right. I recommend getting the Spec 2. It removes some of the headache of the broken ghost, license demonstrations, and menu background video.

I hate how faggy and pretentious the franchise became over time. From alt rock and guy culture admiring the engineering and sport of it all to fucking coffee and crepes and smooth jazz elevator music.

Just finished GT4. Holy fuck, that last tournament was ass, I used a Mazda 787B black. I had to use save states because I didn't want to repeat a 15-min race because of some stupid mistake; I should have chosen easier opponents instead of racing against LMPs only. If you want to try that, I recommend either going NA or using a smaller turbo on tighter circuits (like Opera Paris) so you don't have to deal with turbo-lag as much.

not really. the novelty of being a car encyclopaedia has worn off because later games do it better. 70% of GT4's car list is dupe bloat, like the literal unironic no joke 30 Miata variants. when you take those out you're left with a real patchwork car list that doesn't fully represent anything. The only genuinely fun events to play in 2025 are the special events and the license challenges.
