A shallow fotm streamer game. Most "horror" games don't last that long in public consciousness unless it was really impressionable or unique. This game only has legs because of the cute anime character.

I would've liked to solve a puzzle at chibi Mita size, or have a chase or hide/avoidance scene at that size. Honestly just more chibi or giant Mita could be fun to play around in since it's all a digital realm.

Its not because its short and linear and everyone "moved on", ddlc was the same shit and it still has hardcore fans eight years later. it simply came out way too late to have staying power. people have absolutely fucked attention spans now, and everything that ever happens now is forgotten a week later. had it released ten years earlier rhere would have been a thousand miside general threads by now and ungodly amounts of fan content that would still be getting pumped out

This was clearly initially planned to be R18 or have a patch for it later, but the dev just couldn't resist the streamer/youtuber popularity it got that it wouldn't have if it was R18.

It would have been trivial to reinvest 15% of their earnings into more content. Just hire some animator to do skits with the mita 3d models on youtube every week. Then all you need is write. The youtube would start paying dividends, then open Patreon. Keep reinvesting 50% of all profits into more content. Hire a couple more members to make more endings while working on peaceful mode. Run a fucking business. But noo, it's gonna be a forgotten flavor of the month yet again.
