That's changing in a big update later this year, but for now, it's inferior. Honestly probably still is even after that, given how much work you have to do to unlock camp items(both in-game and iRL to buy it all out of the shop.)

It's definitely not worth playing Fallout 76 for building, most of the objects are in the cash shop and there's simply no point to it. Fallout 4 settlement building has far more objects and it really feels worthwhile, especially with mods like Horizon or SS2.

i actually like the idea of building up a co-op and thriving in the post apocalyptic setting it feels right in the setting and atmosphere of the game, you go around scavenging and build up your little isolated co-op and have settlers move in the entire thing feels good especially with the survival settings turned on makes you feel like you are really out their surviving and building up your little slice of normalcy in the wasteland a lot of memes about it but when you engage with the systems in the game fully it feels good to play around with fallout 4 is actually really underrated, the loot system is nice, the random legendary mobs you find around the map and gear they drop makes farming feel rewarding, i can't sing the praises of it enough easily one of the best in the series.

I want to like it for that but the menus and controls of the building mode are so awful on PC. The objects also have tendency to float in the air to add to annoyance. Yeah, yeah I should use mods but it doesn't change that the original suck.

Why is there NOTHING comparable to fallout?? Post apocalyptic RPG set in the USA, lots of guns and places to explore, in 1st person. Besides the Metro series (which takes place in r*ssia), there really isn't any other games like Fallout.
