When do you next intend on replaying Deus Ex: Human Revolution?

And what kind of playthrough?

>When do you next intend on replaying Deus Ex: Human Revolution?
I ended my playthrough recently for good right after Alice Gardens.
Debating whether its worth my time to write up a thread on the problem with the game, when I know 90% of the responses to the thread are going to be shallowly taking a side, confirming their bias with my criticism, or simply doing the good old "Yes, the point of the game is to be flawed and bad, I like it, its good because it just is the way it is".

Even this reply is a waste of my time. There is no point in expressing anything publicly if the publics capacity to engage with what you say, is always inherently STOLEN from you and turned inward to theirself. Because the only way people can ever understand anything external to themselves is by first filtering it through their bias and centering it around themselves and what they can relate to it, rather than directly contending with things as if words have meaning beyond, what they merely immediately use it for.

I used to do racist runs, where I'd role play as a particular kind of racist and force myself to use lethal force against only the NPCs my Jensen was racist towards.

It actually gets pretty challenging when you come up against the guys with balaclavas and helmets. You need to either look at them really closely, or listen to their voices so you can determine their race that way.

I've been thinking of replaying it, maybe to get all acheevos. I still haven't gotten Foxiest of Hounds despite several full-stealth for some reason despite several full-stealth playthroughs, probably because of that one bug.
Are there any interesting weapons worth using? I never really bother with the late game weapons because saving weapon upgrades for them is a pain. I know about the final boss cheese with the laser gun though.

I really wish we could have more of games like it and DX:MD.
I really wish Panchea was a very expansive level with so much shit to explore and deal with - a true endgame level size of the the entire previous game. Alas, they ran out fo time and budget. That is why we have a ME3 ending.

If anything, i have to replay MD and get all achievements there.

This is standard for an immersive sim. I can't name a single imsim that doesn't end in a wet fart. Even the Bioshock series that are barely imsims anymore.

The pistol is very fucking strong especially after getting the silencer and armor-piercing upgrade. There's almost no reason to use any other weapons for a lethal stealth playthrough. the xbow is pretty fun to use though

>I really wish we could have more of games like it and DX:MD.
Imsims take a lot of effort to make so no studio will bother when they can make millions shitting out the same games over and over.

They are also unfortunately unpopular. I have no idea why, but they've never sold. Maybe it's the weird mash of FPS and RPG, but then how do you explain Fallout 3 and up doing so well?
Anonymous No.716401934 [Report]
>>716401639
I think it's just poor marketing. Most normies aren't going to know what an imsim is even though many of them would be open to the idea. Normies loved playing with physic objects in games like Skyrim and GTA so if you tell them that there's a game where they can actually use physic objects to kill or sneak around enemies they would probably be sold.

Dishonored was actually pretty popular though, too bad the IP is dead like every other imsim.

I used taser and tranquiliser for non-lethal. Yet for some reason i always wanted to just finish off some enemies.

Heavy rifle, revolver with explosive upgrade, grenade launcher, bolt-action sniper rifle, gas mines (on that ONE level),

>Imsims take a lot of effort to make so no studio will bother when they can make millions shitting out the same games over and over.
The issue is that it needs to be done not for money - it needs to be done for game design and gameplay system design.
>>716401639
Normies cannot into imsims, and marketing also works on that assumption. Why blow 50% of budget onto marketing if they cannot into these games in the first place?
