It turns out that it did have to affect them directly for them to care. The realization that they do in fact only care about themselves to such an extent that in their view everything can burn so long as they're less affected is fucking nauseating. Even if the credit unions have forced us into a temporary coalition, seeing this behavior has completely ruined my willingness to even try to talk with these people. Me saying that it would come for them next wasn't a valid point to them only because I wasn't queer enough. Even if everything gets fucked they still only ask for their own special privileges.
