Okay what niche is india going to fill that will turn it into a major dominating economic power? most of what India produces is low value knock offs but India also doesn't design these themselves or have a government that will pull in heavy taxes from industry to subsidize these goods like China, it also doesn't have the actual local expertise to really grow it's value added industries to be internationally competitive. People who think that india has a real future really don't understand how things work, they just see China and See South Korea and just expect it to happen with india, even though India is a low trust society due to it's caste system and wide array of languages, even though indian nationalism is cope nationalism wewuz shit, even though indian education is more about ticking boxes rather than the pursuit of knowledge or dedication to a craft. Right now india has 1 thing of value and that is it's gigantic population.
Okay made me post before I read the whole thing, but still, truth is india has no real path forwards, especially when you understand how things are actually playing out, large populations are seen as a massive strength, in the next decade or two these will be flipped and small populations with concentrated knowledge will be far more valuable.
