WRONG.
You foolishly assumed that "Baby Mario" had to take place at the start of the timeline in order for him to grow into Adult Mario, but you've been misled by the Mario&Luigi Partners in Time.
Baby Mario isn't Mario as a baby, its Mario's Baby son. Nothing contradicts Baby Mario being Mario's offspring, and it explains why he shows up in Karting and sports events.
Partners in Time did show us Mario traveling back in time to meet his past self, but the Baby Mario in that game is not the same Baby Mario from Yoshi Island, they just look the same. The same with Bowser/Baby Bowser and Baby Jr.

Haven't played Bananza, isn't the game an origin story for K. Rool making him an ancient evil released upon the world, or are the DKC games referenced as if they took place prior to it?
