when I was a wee lad I used to think that the speshul version of windows XP: media center edition that came with my dad's VAIO Desktop was an entirely new version of windows. This was pre-vista, even. It was literally just a skin pack with media center included. I will say that it was fucking amazing. You just hooked the tv tuner card into your cable outlet and you had local, record-able television. You could schedule recordings for entire seasons of shows. It was highly responsive and the media files were platform agnostic.

Thanks to content protection this will literally never happen again, but media is all streamed now anyways so who gives a fuck, I guess

The last good UI from Microsoft. Simple, clean, everything was visible and easy to understand/read. Then they shifted to that fucking God awful Metro UI around 2011 and it made everything a headache. Just constant sub-menus within sub-menus.

I was super disappointed switch 2 doesn't have music for any of the different menus. It plays a nice tune when you first set it up but nothing after. And from gamecube to wiiu they had some phenomenal ambience for all the menus and what not.

It's a fun game, herding mechanics are pretty novel.
You had to pick the right sheep for the job, they were all different. Baisic ones are the most "herd-able", yarn-y ones also follow each other but are also slow so they are better for tip-toeing around obstacles (but you can run into the herd with a fast character and break formation easily), hackers are fastest but also don't herd well so you have to keep them in formation manually (which kinda sucks with the slow characters because you have to sprint and sprinting makes them react faster), and rockers are just lazy bitches that don't want to go anywhere and will rather avoid you than go with the herd. Leave rockers for the easiest stage of the world, and then spread the rest by specialisation.

Only reason I'm not using it right now is because I prefer other styles on Linux (though I CAN use knockoffs if I want) and MS has had a bug up their ass about shell and theme replacements since 10. I wholeheartedly believe we're in an era where most sectors suffer from this. From the higher ups in construction jobs, to movies, to gaming, cellphones, cars, etc. My theory is, the high seats are now all occupied by drones whom just have been around long enough to reach these positions.
