he was kind of adjacent to the big Newgrounds community members back on the day, not really part of the group but culturally pretty similar and influenced by NG. That whole Newgrounds community is pretty beloved on the internet and for good reason e.g oney, psychicpebbles, egoraptor etc so that can kind of give you an idea hopefully

Twitch in general has grown. And the streamers that streamed adjacently to Panoots and who raided him and such back in the day, have grown too. The size of the chat is probably in part related to that.
