The mere consumer can't really gatekeep changes coming from the corp side (ESG scores, the company itself introduces policies and creating departments for the 'Global Audience', idealogue's pushing out old guard staff replacing with more of their own (see Veilguard/CD Projekt Red) etc.) None of that is visible from the consumer side until it's too late and they can't stop it.
