Been playing a lot of Stardew Valley lately on my Steam Deck. Also playing Klonoa, thinking of 100%ing the achievements on Steam.
I've also been playing Animal Crossing City Folk Deluxe, the mod/patch that someone made for the game. It's really incredible. It's also the perfect season for moneymaking in the game because it's summer (winter in Ausland tho).

Cyberpunk 2077. I'm liking it overall, but some stuff just kind of feels unfinished. Like the cars just dropping out of the sky, the slide being sluggish, cyberware being a bit underwhelming. I don't know that it'sm got the legs for a second playthrough, either. Doesn't seem like the different life paths affect much. I'm playing Corpo, and not seeing any points where I'd have a meaningfully different experience if I was a Nomad

thanks, i loathed the survivor AI when i first played but honestly a second time through i appreciate it more. DR2 while i think it was a good game felt boring for a reason i couldn't put my finger on, and i get why now, it was because the survivor AI was good so all scoops was just run to place and run back with nothing else, in DR1 because of the survivor AI you really have to manage them like an RTS as if they get swarmed they are near fucked. it's kinda neat. for first time players it adds to the immersion that everything is fucked, but for returning players it allows for routing like an arcade game. i've got the survivors in the run currently the only part left is the best ending part.

Hot, humid, and irritated. I got paid yesterday, and my A/C condenser went out while I was at work. Now I gotta pay 800 dollars for a repair because I'm not knowledgeable enough on HVAC to do it myself. FUCK.

Freezer motor in my fridge sounded like a plane ready to take off, so I think my fridge is fucked, too. A new fridge is like 1000 USD, and everything in it is going to spoil. I powered it off, let it cool down to whatever extent I could, then tripped the breaker back on, and while it isn't making noise, it isn't running as cold as it should. It's mostly just circulating what cool air is left and producing little. If it doesn't resolve itself after the A/C is fixed, I'm going to be furious. What's the point of working if you can't enjoy your money?

going to try to work on my game and other youtube video projects to try and make me feel a bit better since i haven't done much with them for the past week. did refactor some of the code so now it works a bit better but i need to add a few more gimmicks to make it a little bit more engaging. think most people would find sitting in an elevator for a while traveling up a megastructure without much stimulus a bit boring, but i like it so i'll keep working on it and hopefully get a proper demo working for the next /agdg/ demo day

Face got all fucked up from a skin infection so I took some sick day. Just been chilling at home mostly. Already made plans in advance to take my friends to some music venue. So I went there. I didn't beat the first game I just got into collecting backpacks. The combat kind of started to suck after a while hen they introduced multiple enemy waves. Just started Spiderman 2 it just gives you a tonne of.new abilities immediately pretty much which I am okay with I thought I would hate the weird octopus claws but they are useful. The web swinging and movement feels smoother too which is nice. Miles and parker and still massive wimps though I don't like the onions vibes these games have going on about how great his stonk gf but ignoring that it's fun.

Returnal is a game where critical mass hits really hard, because some items are max health increases if you're at full HP but are healing items otherwise. There's a bit of metaprogression that helps out but the main thing that'll get you going is just raw skill with the game. Also, the metacurrency caps out at like 50 so don't try to hoard it for a god run, just spend it when it seems helpful.

I just recently got a Piss5 Slim (w/ disc drive) and got the game for about $35 physical (when digital still costs $70 for whatever reason). I like the bullet hell, personally. It's like the boss fights in a NieR game except actually challenging. That first boss' final phase is a nightmare, though; I keep getting filtered by him, but I'm gradually learning. The first book, Terrortome was funnier so far.
All the books so far are a pisstake of the Goosebumps movie premise, a blatant stand in for Garth getting his mind fucked by an evil typewriter and all his monsters coming to life, with each short story being him fighting one of them.
The first two stories in Book 1 are amazing, with the third kind of sucking.

A tad concerned, but I don't believe it's the worst case scenario. I got my blood test results back with Calcium (somehow, I don't have much dairy in my diet other than the 2 slices of cheese with my lunch sandwidge. I know some foods are enriched, but not enough for a change since last time.) and Hematocrit percentage being a tad high (only by naught percertage, but Dr. Google loves to fearmonger). But reading the reports of a few cancer patients who shared theirs I have found that if it were that my report would have been much lower on a few specific problem areas. So I should take joy in that, but I do wonder what the doctor is going to say in a few weeks. Maybe I've just been worried too much as of late, work has been unusually stressful as of late. The kind of "we are looking for excuses to lay off people while putting a kind face during meetings" type of corpo behavior.

Found an AI translator that also does typeset, so you give it a PDF, it sends back a PDF. Sent through a book by an artist I'm mildly obsessed with, and the result was almost as good as an actual translator. Only drawback is that after 20 free trials, it costs money, but it's also just $6 a month, so I might try it for a bit.

Tired. Went to a family reunion in another state, and it's like, 5 hours of driving altogether. Even when you're in the backseat it's exhausting.
I don't really enjoy going to it anymore, but there's no one from my generation. I don't know any of these people, and that's a shame but I can't do much about it.
