What do you think of Code Veronica? Resident Evil fans famously say "the original trilogy" but there were actually four mainline games before REmake and technically five classic games with RE0 before RE4 sent things in a different direction.

Code Veronica is a direct follow up to RE3 and sets up most of the shit in RE5. It's a meaty game albeit a bit bloated but I thought it blends horror and action incredibly well. Despite the military bases the game takes place in it's still a horror game first and foremost.

I think it's great but there is bullshit like the sudden character switching that can fuck you over if you didn't load up properly. This desperately needed a remake more than RE4.

It's overhated, but it's far from perfect, the hate is somewhat justified

I love it. It's a vastly superior game to RE3 and in some ways is a more authentic sequel than RE2. Some of the best map design in the series.

RECV is kino. It's like they took the original RE trilogy and cranked it to 11. Faggots just hated the unpredictable difficulty and found the extensive plot confusing. And there's no way Capcom is remaking a game full of aristocratic germanic architecture and all white characters. Just play the originals.
