how's your day going?

Loving it so far. I’m almost done with fire emblem engage and also bought monster hunter rise + sunbreak on sale.

Asked this in another thread but who has a good suggestion for joycon grips to make it easier to hold in handheld?

Replaying Wind Waker after holding out all these years on Switch 2's GameCube collection got me really into playing more big classics, both new to me or replays. I ended up playing MGS1 fully for the first time thanks to that, and loved it. Currently going through Metroid Prime Remastered on Switch 2 now to keep the chain going. It's my first playthrough of Remastered, but I've played the original - however it was so long ago and I more recently replayed 2 and 3, so it feels fresh.

Hungry as fuck for Prime 4 and Pokemon Legends Z-A. Also more GC games. Diddy Kong Racing on N64 collection would also be real nice.

Groove Coaster is pretty fun, might pick this up, thanks for the heads up anon. At the very least will be wishlisting it. Also reminds me I should redownload Taiko for Switch. I stopped playing it because the button inputs felt kind of ass on OG Switch when playing handheld, thanks to the bit of give the controller has when attached, but Switch 2 is a bit better about that.

>Pokemon Legends Z-A
I haven't played a Pokemon game since Emerald so do you think Z-A would be a good one for me to jump back in?

Got mine last week and been playing BotW with the update, pretty good. TotK can wait.

Also playing ACNH and thinking about grabbing SMTV in the sale, not sure I'll like it though.

Anyone playing Xenoblade Chronicles X? Think I'll like that too but would like to hear some opinions.

Never played X but loved 1 and 3. I know X is different but I'm sure it's worth a play

Playing Guardians of Azuma. I'm finished and I loved it, but I'm now bumming around, waiting for post game to unlock

If I loved BOTW and plan to play TOTK is it worth buying a Switch 2 mainly for a replay of the updated version of the former and an eventual first playthrough of the latter?

It depends on what you want, but I think the Legends games are generally good for returning players yeah, as they're more fresh and less familiar.

The Legends games are specifically their new sub-series of main series games that are for experimenting a bit with the format. Legends Arceus reworked catching to be more about interacting with Pokemon in the overworld, and simplified battles to speed them up. Legends Z-A is moving away from the turn based gameplay to a more arena like system where positioning during battle matters.

I personally like both the traditional format and the experimental format, but as far as returning players who haven't touched the series are concerned, I think the fresh ideas Legends make them a nice re-entry point.
