There is not much dedicated hardware for fake frames. tensor cores can be used for DLAA for example. But the RT cores can only do RT and you'll pay for that whether you use RT or not.

Yes only at 2k max boohoo woe is me. We used to play at fucking 800x600 25fps and when you didn't get enough FPS you were advised to just go down to 640x480. Now we're getting cards that run 1440p60fps easily and have incredibly complex resolution tricks like DLSS that let you essentially go up an entire resolution tier, and you're still bitching about how bad it is.

Yes, 290/970 is where GPU's peaked. You could get them for a decent price and they'd last for over half a decade.
