The Spider Man set seams especially terrible,mostly because there just isn't enough material.
I think i saw like 4 different Spider Nans, 3 Venoms, and 2 Spider Gwens.
It's like 4 different version of the same guy ar every rarity.

Vanilla fantasy was better than what it is now, though the issue is exacerbated by them making the regular cards full of söy reddit humor and all the characters brown or trans.
Everything about modern MTG is just beyond dogshit and i wish there was another TCG that was even half as enjoyable gameplay-wise.

I hope more UB gets added and it bombs big time. The good thing about FF was WotC had to be forced to make the characters as accurate as possible and not make it stupidly politically correct like the LotR set.

I know this thread is mostly going to be about MTG, but I fucking hate crossovers in most games now in general. None of them do it right of choosing shit that would fit thematically or at the very fucking least aesthetically. I know caring about this shit in "slop" games is a lost cause, but still doesn't mean I can't be mad about it.

Comics show the consequences of crossovers. Dumb power scaling battles, lazy "lol portals" stories, "we are the same" conversations, and giant plot holes.

I should clarify I don't mean full on cross overs, just little nods to stuff. I hate using this game as an example because I can point to more examples of it doing it wrong, but Team Fortress 2 has some good subtle cross over items that work even if you don't know what it crosses over with.

nigga crossovers are one of the most unimaginative things one can do to their story. Literally taking existing characters with already fully written histories into your story instead of imagining and making your own.
