>come home from 8 hour shift + combined 3 hours commute back and forth + getting ready in the morning
>have like 5 hours left in the day in which you have to also do chores so you can live and eat and survive
Ever since I got a job I'm way too tired to play anything or do anything. How the fuck do normies do this for 40+ years holy shit this is literally hell and it's only been 2 weeks

8 hour shifts are pretty bad yeah however a commute of 3 hours certainly doesn't help, reduced commute time is directly correlated with happiness levels and the shorter you make it always the better, long commutes are a speedrun to depression.

IMO it's idiotic that 40 hour weeks are still the norm, work in the modern world should be 6 hours daily 5 days a week but apparently that's still considered "too lazy" even though 8 hours makes no fucking sense?

8 hours of work, 8 hours of sleep to be healthy, that leaves 8 hours for you to do your life, but betwee moving back and forth and doing chores and shit that leaves you with about 4 hours of free time in the end... you work twice as muchn as you enjoy yourself, that's fucking sad no?

No wonder so many people long to escape wageslavery, either that, or getty cushy job that's not forcing you to be active all the time and has some downtime.

Not all jobs are "I'm pretending to work" office deals, anon.

8 hours fucking sucks, but inj my experience the difference between working on a fucking factory that's 40 minutes away by car and working on a grocery store that's 10 minutes away by walking is night and day, I won't say grocery stores are super easy but factory jobs are slave jobs with nearly no time for rest, hearing loud machinery for hours on end, and it usually smells weird, on top of that it was taking away more than hour of my free time daily by driving, that shit adds up as time goes on.

Reducing commute time AND the quality of the job are both very important, now if only we could reduce hours too...

"doing it" is a bit generous, there's a reason why most working adults seem to have no hobbies and only do shit like consume television slop, they just don't have the energy for anything more

Name three jobs that require an 8 hour work day

I don't get your point, wether it's wasting time in an office you don't want to be in or breaking your back in the field or losing your soul at a canning factory I still think in all those situations 8 hours is too much.

2 hours elss can give respite to people with hard jobs and would force cushy office jobs were nbothing gets done to have more efficient time use with the incentive that they'd get to leave more early as well, literally everyone would be happier.

depends on what you mean by require, in my experiencde nearly no jobs require it but if you ask the owner of a store his best interest will always be about workers doing longer hours for less pay because that's what gives him moremoney faster so the normalized 40 hour work week is an advantage to him and anything less will always be seen as "impossible" and "too lazy" and "have you no mtoivation"? And for every zoom zoom socialist like me who thinks 40 hours is too much there's 10 hispanic desperate dudes who'll work as many hours as it takes because they're poor and desperate so we got no leverage.

Still retarded there's only part time and full time jobs though, I wish there was a halfway point I really do. If I ever get a job that gives me insanely high salary I would totally love to sacrifice poart of my salary just for mre freetime, what's 200 thousand euros per year worth if I work 10 hours a day? Not much I'd say, people underestimate the value of sanity and tranquility.

I think I'm pretty lucky as far as handholdless losers who spend all their free time playing video games go.
>job as a fedex delivery driver
>get paid a day rate and stop bonus instead of hourly
>usually knock out my route in 5 - 7 hours
>when my route is done I go gome
>work like 30-35 hours a week
>keeps me /fit/
>hardly have to deal with customers or co-workers
>live like 10 minutes from the station

The point is to break you, it's not about what would be logically optimal for the economy. It's also a good way to control people in general, makes them more resentful, that's great to dismantle any state protection and various forms of socialism.

Unconcerned. There is too much rral world variation and complexity in this job for it to be something a robot can feasibly do.

Depends on the store. I've worked factory gigs that were actually better than retail mostly because the lifting wasn't as heavy. But to be fair I always bust ass at work because I literally cannot tolerate boredom so I always have to feel under pressure or else the time passes so slowly that I want to off myself
