MGQ's original trilogy is a rather standard linear VN/RPG with a shounen plot. The h-scenes are mostly femdom with possible vore while the gameplay is generally puzzle-based, but harder difficulties make it more RNG reliant.
MGQ Paradox is FF7R before it even existed, a stealth sequel masquerading as a reboot. It's a more standard JRPG with Dragon Quest style combat, job system and DQM style recruitment, with a SMT style law/chaos/neutral branching plot. Certain quests have multiple branches with mutually exclusive party members, but you can collect them all on NG+.
There are hundreds of monstergirls you can recruit, each with h-scenes to be unlocked and party banter when you least expect it. With them, you can build a party you want and with enough grinding, make it work even on higher difficulties.

My favorite part of chaos route was recruiting some of the archangels during their side missions and going somewhere else while they still in my part. They even react to it. Killed some of the later bosses earlier that way.
