When did Rareware peak? What are your three favorite games from them (only one per distinct franchise)? What games did you dislike that were still in your "when they were good" period?

They peaked in the 90s because they were able to have multiple teams consisting of like a dozen people total covering their own projects which coveted a wide range of genres and were pushing forward with the then emerging technology at the time

They channeled their entire being into this game and made a masterpiece, but slowly fell apart after. Tooie is a fine game but it's worse in most ways, then DK64 was a bloated mess. Conker 64 is giga soul but the actual game is just fine, it's mostly great because of the writing and set pieces rather than the game itself.

By Starfox Adventures, they were a shell of their former self.

I think a better way of looking at it is that they hit it out of the park entirely on instinct and vibes with Banjo and GoldenEye. The work culture inspired everyone on every team to prioritize being bigger and better and stealing stuff the other teams and contemporary big games were doing. So everyone was making the same mistakes to varying degrees at the same time.
