Basically no point in having a gaming con, anime cons cover most of what that does.
Anime cons have merch and gaming tournaments and everything.
If you go to comiccon and find an old gem of a comic, you can open it and read it. A comic has direct value.
If you find an old video game gem but you don't have a console, you basically found a pretty neat piece of plastic that you can put on a shelf and will not be able to play

I played dark souls and bloodborne before it came out. I beat a boss in bloodborne and the dude at the kiosk never saw anybody beat a single boss and gave me some weird earbuds with a zipper, ea branded or some other shitty merch, I forget very flimsy, broke very quickly, he was responsible for two games and that people weren't just hogging and forced them to give up the controller to other people. Knew nothing about bloodborne.
Won a sf5 tournament, before it came out etc. Went every year to that convention for a while. The con was amazing. But then some other company bought it and made it their own. Renamed it and completely ruined it. It's more about cosplay, overpriced snacks everywhere and renting booth space to wannabe artists who can't draw. Horrible. No unreleased games anymore. Turned into absolute shit.
It had exactly one cosplayer when I went there the first time. Some guy in military gear and airsoft guns.
One thing stayed the same. The Nintendo section always smelling like a rotting corpse. Vomit inducing. Those tendies are something else in real life. Disgusting "people".

Con Circuit-goers (includes cosplayers), trannies, and current day weebs which have overlap with trannies. I saw this early on in the 2010's in Los Angeles and it hasn't got any better unless you're truly there to be with friends, which you're better off doing normal meet-ups.

There's a con going on right now in my area that is ostensibly about anime, but half of the panels are 18+ gooner panels, while the other half are split evenly between niche weeb shit and retarded non-anime topics like Epic the Musical singalongs and fucking how-to guides on polygamy.
