Saw it a few years ago with my sister.
It's average as average can be, nothing stands out at all (cool opening music, though). Characters don't even feel like their game counterparts at all (Bass is degraded from first independant Navi ever created who swore revenge against humanity to a creation of Pharaohman's remains who hangs around doing shady stuff every now and then just because he feels like it). Animation for the most part is cheap, no memorable OST. I really disliked when it went full sentai with Axess.

If you really want to give it a try, go for it. You can also read the manga that takes as many liberties with the characters as the anime but is much better paced and has proper edge-kino.
