Personally I'd take the setting of Bellum Aria where the nations of the Halkarva Sea inlet are fighting a war of existence against the Almerian Federation and its South Ostian Treaty allies and broken arrow nukes are going off willy nilly while duo-turret tanks advance in armor columns under the support of MLRS artillery and stealth drones hunt Ostian scum in the mud trenches of during the Red Autumn Knife-fight.
Maybe throw in some geopolitics with how the Halkarva Sea is just a proxy war to test out equipment for the upcoming, Fifth World War.
