yeah the story of two has little connection and is much worse.
blasphemous 2 has better combat and movement, with some extra abilities, but the pacing in 1 is much better

I did like the sort of non-standard metroidvania upgrades to get around in 1, and then in 2 they were mostly just basic bitch shit found in every metroidvania.
