I liked DS1 overall, but mostly for chill gameplay and vibes (I listened to audiobooks while playing a lot of it).

The ending wasn't really that good. It takes way too long, and the "twist" is basically ruined by 2 hours of cutscenes because kojima doesn't respect the audience enough to understand it (even though its pretty obvious by the end of the vietnam section).

I hated this scene, because it felt like a shitty copy of the MGS4 ending, except like, it's missing everything that made it the snake and ocelot fight actually work.

The plot itself is full of plotholes, constant retcons or bait and switch or 20 plot twists in a row delivered by characters voiced and mocapped by cheap actors, all of them with the most convoluted "sad" backstorieswho won't stop crying. DS2 really feels a remake of DS1 desu. With scenes that are exactly the same and a plot that does not progress. Not to mention Sam became Venom Snake.
