Favorite art style for the series?
IMO the style peaked at 2 with Panorama being a close second.

Not gonna lie, Cotton was the last game franchise on Earth that I thought would get a modern revival.
I'm glad it did though!

I don't know about insane hype or anything, but I will be playing it. I liked both previous Cotton games (and Cotton 2 on the Saturn).

Since it's Cotton and this is recent...
I'll be playing a bit of 100% Cotton soon. Normal mode seems pretty easy compared to the standard difficulty of Shoot em Ups.

So I've only played Cotton SFC and Cotton 2. What other games in this series are worth playing?

The first game is worth checking out if you want to see how the series started, it's decent. The X68000 port and Reboot improves on it.
Boomerang is a neat remix of 2 and is worth checking out if you like 2.
Panorama is a great rail shooter that essentially combines Cotton with Space Harrier, it also has a very surreal and whimsical setting.
Rock 'n Roll is the newest entry in the series (until High Tension comes out) and features a ton of different playable characters and levels for different scoring routes.
