Marvel’s most popular characters are mostly street-level, while your average DC flagship hero is strong enough to destroy a gorillion universes with a single fart or whatever. There’s a reason Batman and his mythos sell like hotcakes across cartoons, movies, TV shows, and video games: it’s just way easier for writers and developers to build a compelling story around him compared to someone like the Flash.

Depends. Would they actually lean into it being a comic book with an appealing art style that eschews realism in favor of over the top superheroic designs and animations, draw on the entire comics library for the roster and not just one or two A lister properties, make the game and all heroes free to play, and feature unabashedly masculine men and feminine women?

Strictly in theory. DC have hotter female characters IMO. I don't believe there's even a possibility of WB doing anything good with them though.

I am going to go out on a limb and say its not a hero shooter/Rivals competitor. They would be years behind and it would be extremely hard for a Western studio to pump out content at the same rate as Rivals is currently.

They could try to do a Marvel Heroes redo but DC aka an ARPG.

If WB took risks and tried to make something new they might have a shot. But as it stands for my entire adult life they have been chasing Marvel's success without putting in any of the effort. The only places they have been actually successful in the past 30 odd years (outside of flukes) have been animation, the Nolan films, and the Arkham games. The key to all of those was they weren't cheap ripoffs chasing something Marvel already did.

Joker too I guess, but that was actually a fresh idea, and it was massively successful.
