Kinda regretting getting it, at least for launch. I enjoyed Mario Kart for a bit but rarely any 3 lap courses in races, and baggers dominating knockout have sucked all the enjoyment out of it.

DK was a very good playthrough. Solid 8.5 out of 10. Recycled bosses were my biggest issue with it, the frame drops were acceptable 95% of the time but there were a few parts with pretty severe drops, but considering the ambition this early in a console it's forgivable. The ending was cool but over hyped. Now that it's beat I don't really have anything left to do on the system.

I could try to 100% DK but I'm not a completionist and don't really have the urge to play it anytime soon. Every time I go back to MK I'm quickly reminded why I am starting to dislike it. The partner direct was a fucking disaster... 3rd party slop, weeb shit, 7DHDSD8k16bit Remake... Maybe I've just gotten too old and I'm no longer the demographic. From the perspective of software, this has to be one of the most disappointing and lackluster launch windows for any console I can remember. I'm sure there's been worse but I can't think of any don't now, can you?
