Mathmech and fiendsmith Malice is the way I think from what I can tell from my testing. With math malice you play harden into maxx C but your ceiling is pretty damn good you also shit extremely hard on retards maining lancea cause depending on how hard you wanna go with mathmechs your endboard is terahertz + ransom with mirror and if you opened march hare you can set up a lot during the opp turn.
Fiendsmith malice is better into the roach but only when you open a fiendsmith card and your ceiling is meh under lancea with red ransom adding mirror and desirae or high caesar.

A YuGiOh deckbuilding roguelike or JRPG with dueling combat would be so kino. Master Duel was fun to play while I brute forced my way to platinum with my optimized Blue Eyes deck, but it is no match for the metafags that dominate the platinum rank with the same 3 decks and 15-minute shuffling routines. Like if you take the general presentation of the field and how the card packs work that Master Duel has, and then layer Duelist of the Rose's system of every card having an associated cost, your total deck cost must be below that of your opponent...you're basically golden for the mechanical side.

Would need to update how DoTR calculated cost, though. (ATK+DEF)/100 with a plus 5 if it has an effect just does not cut it, and Spell/Traps were basically throwing darts at a wall for their cost.

A quick and dirty one would perhaps be like +10 per third of an era (ex. Early DM: +0, Mid-DM: +10, Late-DM: +20, Early-GX: +30, etc), and maybe add another cost for conditions like "Has been Semi-Limited"/"Has been Limited"/"Has been Banned"/"Currently Semi-Limited"/etc.

Technically there's Dungeon Duel Monsters, but it was in sorta rough shape last time I played it- probably because you'd have to copy the decks (and forgo any special effects) to play in autosims.
