Extremely positive, even moreso than I ever expected to be. Very few changes and additions needed are outside the scope of reality and it manages to iterate on and evolve just about everything Nioh 2 had while still having enough of its own new mechanics to advance the series in a grand way once more. They just need to have more of everything again, free up and make use of the input space available and change the human Ki system back to how it was.
It will probably succeed decently well but I don't particularly care beyond them being able to keep making more games of the type they want relatively comfortably. The series has always been plagued with ignorant normie takes and the less I have to deal with those the better.

I just started Nioh 1's dlc for the first time after coming back to it after playing 2 and damn all the "new" enemies in 2 were in the dlc all along. It even has the secondary guardian spirit. It's like playing Nioh 1.5.

For me, it's the Kusarigama.

2 has plenty of other new enemies besides the ones from 1's DLC and every enemy got new tricks. That's on top of all the actual mechanical and system changes and improvements across the board. Calling it 1.5 is and always will be a sign of ignorance when the game got more additions than some series will get over several sequels, just because it was a real evolution that didn't abandon the foundation needlessly.

Either way, I'm loving the dlc. I thought Nioh 2's dlc was also peak. I really can't wait for 3 although I didn't get a chance to try it since I'm on PC.

Oh yeah, the DLCs are definitely a highlight when they come round, it's remarkable just how worth it they make every single one. As someone that played it, 3 is so far seeming excellent and I just hope they stick the landing for just how much potential the game is showing already. With any luck the stream going over the feedback that's coming up soon will also have some more info about the game to tide us over.
