The main reason I liked my deck originally was the ease of emulation.
I didn't realize mobile emulation had come so far and besides PS3 and wii u which are hit or miss on deck anyway, my fucking s24u has the same amount of ps2/gc compatibility. It's insane.
I like my deck for it's functionality, I have it dualbooting windows and have used it to host my stall at cons where I sell stuff, can hook up a printer to it, etc, but I can't lie, I could do the same stuff with any laptop. The deck and it's novelty features are mostly just it's ability to play steam games. Which is great, but I just don't have that big of a backlog and almost always want to play on my PC instead.

Because no game is "meant" for them. They're "meant" for 1080p displays as those are still like fucking 70% of the market. Anything more is just excess slop that's upscaled.
Steamdeck screen is shit because it's 16:10, not because it's low res.
