Nintendo won, Valve is taking Microsoft's place with a mainstream Steam Deck 2, Sony will slowly fuck off as well. Microsoft will stop making hardware before Sony and go full third party first, Sony will do it either sometime during or after gen 10. People for whatever reason, cling to exclusives when there really hasn't been a killer app since like Halo 3. MS spearheaded killing exclusivity, and it is a good thing.

Tango lost a massive amount of their workforce after hi-fi released, in particular leadership was almost entirely gutted. They would have needed to rebuild the studio from the ground up and it was just better off to close the doors. And MS did find an exit plan for those who stayed by selling them off to another publisher.
