Why are people always getting excited by open world games?
Its so clear that when a game goes open world all it does is to copy paste the same activities a billion time and call it "content."
When will normies learn that smaller scaled games have more varierity and better game design then open world slop

Smaller scale games have the same copy pasted enemies, just in smaller areas.

I agree most open world games are slop, but I think ER did it well. Erdtree was even better because it really condensed everything.

The pacing is way better tho and yku get less burned it by it.

Eh.
ER still needed to recycle bosses a lot.
Besides visual appealing places the open world aspect disnt really add anything that couldnt have been done better otherwise.

That's a you problem though. It seems like a lot of people who hate open world games hate it because they have ADHD and feel like they HAVE to do everything right away and burn themselves out. When the game is explicitly designed for you to be able to go as fast or slow as you want.

If youre not supposed to do content. Then why are they there in the game?
At that point its pointless

ERs open world resulted in a lot of emlthy horse riding with no coherent level design.
Its a far cry from older games.

nightreign really exposed this company as the slop company

Why?
Nightreign was a success and no other game did the same thing the game did.
