What you probably don't realize is that 7-8 years ago the Intel/AMD ratio was like 90-10. For years Intel CPUs were considered to always no matter what be better in games and always worth it over AMD, they had the laptop market completely in their pocket, and every prebuilt computer rocked an Intel CPU. it takes years for all this to wear off, today we're at 60-40 which actually means AMD has gained a ton of ground.

What the Steam hardware survey should actually tell you is that AMD Radeon's desktop GPUs are kinda dead. Even though the RX9000 series so far has been very very good, they barely even show up on the survey at all. People didn't really buy them. On the other hand you have dogshit like the RTX5060 outselling the entire RX9000 series 14:1.

2k is not a brag. Realistically, to round all the edges off it I needed to spend more like $2500, but I just wasnt interested in going that high. I used a midrange rather than high end board, halved my originally planned drive capacity and used a cheapo case.
