For me it's BG3. The end just feels like a slog to get through and there are obviously a lot of cut story lines that had to be fleshed out more. It feels like they had Act 3 and Act 4 and they decided to just mash it together into a frankenstein Act 3

Xenoblade 3 definitely fits this.
I still like the game, but everything after the big sequence at the end of chapter 5(?) is just kind of a drag. Especially chapter 7. Least interesting final boss in the franchise bar maybe Luxarr from X if you consider him the final boss instead of the new final boss from the definitive edition.

Sly 4 because the last level is an extremely short and easy obstacle course instead of a proper level, but more importantly the final boss is defeated through 5 QTE sequences and it ends on a cliffhanger teasing Sly 5, but Sony decided to retire the IP instead because they wanted Sly 4 to be this weird ass cross-platform promotional item to sell Vita consoles and obviously that didn't happen when it was also on PS3.

Feels like every point and click adventure game I play. As much as I like the feel of games like Deponia and Truberbrook, the endings feel so flat. Like they were an afterthought. Yeah Bg3 should have had the last act just be Rivington and Wyrm's Crossing. Throw in the sewers and cazadors mansion into that area, and there's your act. The entirety of the actual city was completely unnecessary and a slog and ruined the game for me. I has no desire to replay it because of that.

No such thing, a game is excellent/great because its game design is great/excellent.

Games that get ruined by their ending are exclusively story games and if you think those type of games are excellent to begin with then you have lost the plot.

You can say the ending is weak or i didn't like the ending or it felt underwhelming but to say the ending ruined the game, thats only possible for a game like The Walking Dead or something, not for something like BG3 which is gamey as fuck and where the main plot is literally an excuse to drive the adventure forward.

I think the biggest problem I had with act three was just how big it was, and how you I hit max so early into act three proper that it made a lot of quests feel like chores because you're capped off at level 12.
