How's your backlog? What are you playing (and what have you played) on your PCs?
Anonymous No.717085432 >>717096247
Ah well. I'll try again next weekend. Take care everybody.

I've finally gotten around to picking up Intravenous 2 back up
I've been getting bloodlust ranking on every mission, mainly because I like to do a mix of stealth and loud. I'll usually start off quiet to thin out the number of enemies and set up traps like claymores outside rooms housing a shit ton of guards and then go loud and kill everyone.
Setting a claymore outside a room a bunch of guards are just chilling in, standing off to the side, and firing off a shot then watching them all get shredded by shrapnel the second they open the door to go investigate never gets old

I need to replay these (backlog's getting larger just by time passing by and not playing much...)
This level was a highlight and this part was really funny.

Man, as I get older, I find myself playing just my favorites, with a rare occasional play on some new ones that interest me.
I'm tired, and I just don't have the time anymore.
Company of Heroes 1 (no DLC) is fun

Dragon is Dead
It's like Diablo + Blasphemous
Or well what I imagine Diablo is like since I've never played it. Just hold X to slash and pick up better gear to increase your damage per second.
I've played Grim Dawn and it was a hold X game and that's apparently Diablo. Haven't played Path of Exile.

But I say Blasphemous-like because I don't know what devs are inspired by anymore. Quite a few metroidvania devs on Steam have only played Hollow Knight... and apparently Cruelty Squad inspired a lot of people even though I never saw any originality in it so whatever

Overall I wouldn't say this is in my top 5 indies of 2025 because of the genre but it's pretty

I'm playing Dungeon Keeper with Keeper FX installed and I'm on the level with the Avatar. The game is pretty fun overall, the only thing I think it could use is the ability to choose which creatures can walk through doors so you can safely let hounds and flies go outside your dungeon to die like a bitch exploring the map, blocking giants from your training room or making it so samurais and mistresses don't cross paths. 9/10 game, really unique.

My most played game recently has been Starfield. It doesn't connect with everyone, but I really enjoy it especially to chill and relax. If it's not Starfield it's my 500th playthrough of one of the two Portal games or Sonic Mania. Also I recently got Stranger of Paradise ("Jack's game") and I've been liking that too.

I'm not very far in it since, by "recently" I mean I got it yesterday. From what I've played so far which is basically just the tutorial stuff, this is going to be really good. Also I was surprised the "My Way" song actually is in the game rather than just being a meme here or something for trailers. This game is going to be campy, it's going to play ridiculous things absolutely straight and it's going to be full of soul. I'm all for it.

Build separate chambers, like for reapers. Alternatively just dump unwanted creatures back into portals or slap them to death to turn into vampires.
And don't bother with converting samurai because they have more than 2 times the wage of mistresses while being like 10% stronger, and they don't get teleport. And their lightning is not quite as good as drain.
Giants are too damn slow for what they are.

The only tip I will give you is that your gear doesn't matter that much until you get into the DLCs, so if you don't feel like combing through hundreds of drops, you can just hit the "optimize equipment" button and will be fine

Also hellhounds help make vampires quicker, can sense enemies behind walls and walk through lava. If they are getting into trouble too often just dump them into a temple or whatever.

Conservatively I've got 2 year's worth of backlog left, 40 games - less than 5 of them are big ones/RPGs too by my count. I'm gonna do it, only Silksong, Death Stranding 2 and Styx 3 are on my radar to jump the queue in the near future, plus whatever From does.

I have gone through most classic FPS recently, I completed

Wolfenstein 3D and Spear of Destiny
Doom and all the official sequels, expansions and add ons including Final and 64
Quake Enhanced with all expansions
Heretic and Hexen, gave up on Hexen expansion because respawn was annoying
Outlaws, didn't bother with extra missions
Chasm the Rift
AvP classic
Uhreal and the expansion
Kingpin Life of Crime
Soldier of Fortune

I plan to play Quake 2 and all console versions, Build engine games, Hexen 2 and Powerslave Exhumed

Strife, SIN, Requiem Avenging Angel and Star Wars DF also look interesting

Just try.
I managed until blue science. When that was done I just kinda had my fill and moved on to other genres.

Just take your time and have fun with it. Then you pull the switch and it feels so nice.

I separted all science btw. Than had all the separated science delivered by train to a reseasrch hub.
Worked superb.

As I've already told him he will also need separate hatcheries, treasuries and likely training rooms. Obviously with no common corridors. So like building separate chambers for reapers. But again, samurai aren't worth it. Knights maybe but then in that wage category dragons are better even without the WoP bug.

I see the Heroic logo, but I'm assuming Heroic itself doesn't slap the Heroic logo on every box art in its own grid view because that would be pretty redundant.

it's not necessary as long as the lairs are placed appropriately
