That's not what is happening here.
A friend group obviously wanted to invite their own member into the squad and had to essentially remove one to make room.
If you were the random in question, you do not give a fuck whether you are in this squad or a different squad. Saying "im friend" refers to "please please keep me I want to be part of your friend group :3" is retarded.

this is helldivers II. there's a stratagem you can call in that opens your lobby to everyone in the world to join. it's a single input different from the stratagem to call back in dead teammates, which is the most used stratagem in the game.
