Spiral Knights got some kind of major maintenance patch last month.
Seems like Grey havens is doing some huge overhaul, going to be moving to a modern java version and other things.

I started a Guild Wars 2 Charr Ranger yesterday. Never played the game before and the game gave me the raptor mount free for 10 hours. The music is nice too. Did I pick the wrong class? Pet system seems interesting

There is no bad class. Everything got homoginized. Its all balanced but some classes/specs also lost their flavor. You get to choose 3 specs once you reach 80 (Druid, Soulbeast, Untamed). You can switch between them so you dont have to create a new class.
>Druid can go avatar mode which heals and can also be played as dps now (lol?)
>Soulbeast can merge with his pet and use its skills
>Untamed just sucks no one likes it.
If you dont mind the spec playstyle you can stay Ranger.
I would still recommend playing Necro with the Reaper spec. Easy and fun to play, perfect for a beginner. Also maps outside of Vanilla are much better designed. I recommend starting with Path Of Fire area.

Just an mmo like Lost Ark but without the korean gamba faggotry and with good map/quest design. All maps are essentially lines where you walk from a to b. Only a braindead asmongold viewer would enjoy this type of design. If you give me that im your cashcow.

I struggled choosing a race... Charr is cool but no legion matches the ranger aesthetic except for the ash legion. And Charr is all about guns and I use a bow... oh well
