Because I'm getting kind of bored. It doesn't help that my server is pretty dead, this week's Deep Desert is a slightly worse repeat of the same loot from two weeks ago, and that there are only two POIs past the PvP cutoff. I've certainly got my money's worth, but it feels like Funcom has squandered a lot of potential.

Melee is OP when you're clearing PvE dungeons, but it's pretty shit in PvP. The only thing melee has going for it is crippling strike, which is just crowd control that makes it easier to shoot people, and doesn't require too many points to spec into. Ranged dominates right now, and the most broken weapon is a rocket launcher that locks onto vehicles and people, that staggers you and damages HP through shields. It kind of sucks because the ground PvP can be very fun at times, but the meta has evolved into just blasting each other with rockets. Because of the power system / suspensor abilities, you're basically unkillable in outdoor PvP if you're not a retard.

I'm baffled by how many PvE boomers play this game past the story content. Even then, that content is nothing special, and it suffers from the kind of padding that's typical of MMOs. Once you're done with that, the PvE content becomes drawing mining laser lines on rocks and hauling shit to and from different bases.

Plenty of actual combat occurs and ornithopter rockets are honestly pretty shitty now that most servers have gotten access to the busted rocket launcher that deals giga damage to thopters. You will never beat some suspensorfag darting around with an Ancient Way while in a thopter, it is a death sentence for your vehicle to even try. You are right about the other things though.
