Are there any good smartphone games that are free and aren't gacha? Or is the golden era of good free mobile games long gone and we will never have good games like Angry Birds, Cut the Rope, Where is My Water and Plants vs Zombies available for free again? All I see are either gachas, games with "RPG" elements than you need to pay to upgrade or grind for 3 months, games with timers that you need pay or wait one day to refill or paid ports of PC games.

You only have these, though. Purely free games in the mobile market pratically don't exist outside of tech demos and beta tests, the middle ground back then were minigames, but all the minigames are gone while their aspects incorporated on gachas.
