NOITA CO-OP
LOBBY CODE: e0gb42b0b7fw

>What is this?
Noita, but with online co-op.

>How does it work?
1. Install Noita (Steam, GOG, or cracked version. You need Steam running to join online even if you didn't buy the game from there. Launch Steam and THEN the mod)
>IF you are running a cracked version or GOG, make sure to check "Allow using steam networking even..." box in the upper left corner under "Local settings." You need to RESTART THE MOD for this change to take effect
2. Install the mod and launch it.
3. Set your name and colors (if you like)
4. Open lobby list (upper right corner under "Connect using steam" yes, even if its pirated)
5. Copy the lobby code: e0gb42b0b7fw and click "Connect to lobby in clipboard." If this one doesn't work, look for one in the thread.
6. Select "Start Noita" in the mod client itself, and make sure to start a new game.
7. If you still can't join, close the mod client completely, start Noita normally, go into your mods, and make sure the mod is enabled.
8. Do not continue a previous run, or do the daily run, or click anything else. Just join from the mod, and launch as 'New Game.'
9. DISABLE ALL OTHER MODS.
10. If you are hosting, you don't need to wait for a full lobby to start, or any players even. Anyone can join the game as long as they have the lobby ID. Jump into the game, and wait for others to join.

I'm too dumb to make decent wands but I blame the game for not properly explaining the mechanics to the player

damn that's crazy

The point of the game is you experimenting and finding that out for yourself, zoom-zoom.

the game limits your ability to do so by having only 4 wand slots and requires you to bypass the holy mountain collapse in order to effectively tinker with wands
Anyway, my accusation is the game explains its mechanics poorly (e.g. how the chainsaw spell works)

once you get one good run, you can tinker and expirement with basically all wands and spells at your leisure

unless you nuke yourself in the process

Late game runs nukes aren't a big issue lol
Anonymous No.717120246 [Report] >>717120364

but you won't get into the lategame (or at least you won't be strong enough to tinker with wands to satisfying extend) unless you have intermediate understanding of the game anyway
stop defending bullshit obscurity of some aspects of the game

Sure, the first runs you have no idea, that's the fun part. There's a skill level, and it takes time and iteration to get a good understanding of the game. Do you really want to play like somebody who has 1k hours right at the start?

I just feel like having a fully functional sandbox mode right from the get go withouth relying on community modifications would make the learning experience less frustrating

The game is meant to bust your balls for a little while. I find the design of it all very well implemented. Each floor gradually gets you more and more acclimated to harsher conditions.
This isn't a game to go into for an easy learning experience. It follows Dorf Fort's mantra of "Losing is Fun."
