I'm a little split on the Max Payne remakes, I'm sure they'll be great, but one thing I love about every Max Payne game, even the redhead stepchild that 3 was, is that they're the only TPS games that I vastly prefer on mouse and keyboard, and Remedy has a tendency to use the default control system they design the game for super well, like Alan Wake 1 with the trigger intensity controlling the flashlight mode and letting you aim without boosting or boosting and dodge and running being the same button press to emphasize that running is for scrambling and not just moving fast.
So I'm convinced they'll completely revamp the controls to be more pad focused, and because it's remedy I'm sure they'll be great, but I liked how Max Payne played already, II still feels like a modern game, so I wish it was still a mouse first game.
Hoping it won't be by the Alan Wake II director, however, Kasurinen is a much better game designer than Rowley, judging by their previous track record. Quantum Break's lead designer directing Alan Wake II makes a lot of sense, the two worse games in the company's history.
