You're gonna need like $500 in cheating dedicated hardware, a $50 a month subscription to keep up to date, plus $70 for a new copy of the game and a new motherboard every time you get banned. Cheaters in fucking shambles.

Its the same anti cheat that BF2042 is using and got patched into older games like BF1 and BFV,they just renamed it to "Javelin". In BF5 on EU servers there still are chink refugees with rage aimbots despite of that, just like it was before lmao. Reminder that there are more and more cheaters in Valorant too.

BF2042 does since May and 8.80 update and there are still niggers livestreaming on tiktok and youtube while playing with cheats. I didnt said this doesnt reduce amount of changs and ivans aimbotting with public cheat engines. Instead raping your PC kernel with malware tier telemetry they should just give community servers rcons so people can ban those cockroaches instead of relying on cancerous malware like that.

That would require them to provide DEDICATED SERVER HOSTING and allow players to HOST THEIR SERVERS long after EA turns THEIRS off, we CAN'T HAVE THAT.

SHUT. IT. DOWN. Goy.

Honestly though, BF4Bans or whatever was just as shitty as EA's anti-cheat.

Linux DOES support TPM and Secure Boot, it depends on the distro. Arch needs it off to INSTALL but you can turn it back on after and it'll run fine.

It's a security feature built into windows that makes it so you can't load unauthorized software into the boot sequence. It's been required for almost a decade in all hardware that comes pre installed with windows.

The funny thing about delta force is that its the only game in history where the anti cheat malfunctioned for me. The version of the anti cheat they use has a bug where it straight up crashes the game if you play it on Asus laptops. I got in the discord and I typed the issue in the bug report channel and I was banned from the discord 2 minutes after kek. Dleta Force is so fucking pathetic.

>>717114786
>meanwhile almost every cs pro has never been banned
A couple of them actually did get banned because of the community anticheat where people could watch reported players and determine whether or not they were hacking. Which is probably part of why they don't use it anymore. A community server is similar except it only requires one retard to ban you and has none of the systems in place to try and see if he knows what he's talking about.

i played the test weekend that was like, a month or 2 ago? and i didn't seem anywhere near ready for an open beta. don't think it'll be like the utter disaster of 2042, more just generally rough and lots of unfinished shit and doesn't seem they even have a concrete idea of design goals, they are still figuring out if they want to pander to the class restrictions, or no restrictions, or no restrictions but debuffs for non-class weapons tribes.

but its the same shit with Skate. supposed to be "launching" this year (they'll call it early access or whatever, but its launching).

a bold new direction for EA. i mean whatever crimes they committed, i remember they at least used to sell complete games.

I'm one of the rare fags who still actually plays bf2042 on pc. The anticheat may as well not exist despite how invasive it is. Every time there's a sale you'll get 15% or more of every lobby blatantly cheating. And there are some who don't get banned for months despite aimlocking in every match. Honestly, the price tag of the game itself is the only thing that seems to be effective.

I remember watching some pretty informative video about cheat techniques, and that shit is so absurd no developer can even hope to stop it.
>Special board in PCI slot which dumps the whole memory (bypassing anything anticheat has access to) to a separate PC that runs cheating software
>Microcontrollers between your GPU and display doing all kinds of shit
>Various spoofing methods that can't be dealt with by anything you install on PC
No matter how much you cuck an average player with a rootkit anticheat, someone who wants to cheat will find a way to do so, and you won't be able to do anything about it. But at the same time I won't be installing your rootkit games, sorry not sorry.

BlackSquad was downgraded from Battleye which was at least banning people, whit Gameguard.

When game was in beta/ea it had ESL support and two layers of check so that nobody could join competitive without being properly screened.

Now, I don't know what happened, I do have played competitive but didn't make the cut to ESL cause the ceiling was higher than Cobra rank and I could only play that much before breaking out due boredom. Cheat accusation started as per usual, some clips were posted on YT, some clips posted and DEEPLY ANAlyzed on le reddit, turns out that two or three major players did indeed cheat.

My brother excuses left and right, game lost ESL support after season two, it turned into a cheating fest, they addressed Battleye issue which saved the game for probably two weeks, past that cheaters were getting banned and coming back to cheat with the very same account. A year or two later with the game now under shitty Valofe's hands, game was verily dead, they sneak up Gameguard AC forcing people to downgrade to W10 or else, nothing was ever fixed, other than making it more heavy and laggy despite hardware being way above recommended system requirements, people still cheat and they have probably 3k players left, competitive is a shitshow since 2020 and those fuckers by adding that rootkit fixed literally nothing.

Whilst with the good ol days method, those cheaters would have be banned by us in 3 minutes, an hour tops, but nope AC will protect us from cheaters, sure.

The only time I've ever been banned from a battlefield community server was in BF2. The server had 1 singular rule and I specifically broke that rule.
>"Commanders can't be helicopter gunners"
>proceed to do exactly that
>get 50 kills and constantly calling in artillery/ammo/intel
>my team is demolishing the enemy
>"gee I wonder why this is a rule on the server"
>banned within 10 minutes for 24 hours
Meanwhile big servers with 7 layers of anticheat, kernal level access to your computer, and mandates that you """"aren't allowed"""" to use any program on your PC that microsoft doesn't sign off on
>blatant cheater noclipping around
takes days to get banned
>aimbotter

this is valid for modern gamers, not so valid for the 1999 to 2009-ish era of gaming.

On CoD it was a different story though, I played on CuF server, we had PB active, admins decided to get rid of it cause the gun and run server had many mods who created conflicts and crashed both connected clients and the server itself. We were a self moderated community, nevertheless people from another clan who for me and many others were dirty, did cheat, I made clips and demos of them cheating, they were simply told to remove tags and change nicknames and they kept on cheating, but we managed to force admins to keep them under control, so many times if they connected to cheat and do their rounds and found people like me who were online 18 hours a day, they simply had to GTFO.

CuF also had some internal cheating problems, different members were caught and banned but I wasn't partaking their drama so gg. On the MTL server admin/console was present nearly 24/7, if people had to cheat they had to be very good at it cause they stand no chances.

Let's see what else, Flashpoint and ArmA had a cheating problem, this was on different tiers, specially with TKC running two sometimes three community server under the tags of J4F, 1st Guns/NoRE and the remnants of the SF clan, their server was a cheating paradise, but if you run the TKC client you were getting banned upon respawning, I've inspected their client and found why I could not cheat on their server, but I could easily cheat on a server on which I was also an admin and we had heavy check for it, found also that they were using renamed addons/mods such as a complete sound replacement mod which also changed value of weapons and armor. They tried many times to cheat on one of ours CTI server and failed cause I was present, but yeah you had many ways to cheat on OFP, everyone knew that and good players always avoid those servers and moved to small ones.

the only clan who kicked for us being too good were a couple of italian ones, then a coop server the LOL one, who at his very beginning banned us cause they put a CTF server and me and another guy who at the time were playing comp pretty much every day, simple outsmarted them in any type of way.

Same problems did happen on America's Army, worst shit probably on Enemy Territory but I don't want to remember my experience in that mess, let me just say that RTCW online was better than ET, ET only added elitism and primadonna effect. On 2008 but mostly with modern games, specially with Sniper Elite V2, L4D and whatever spawned during that period of time, rage bans skyrocket to the stars. On L4D2 I had literally to stay more put than usual and sneakily use shortcuts, cause people playing scavenge against or with me hated me with a passion. I do understand why shitty matchmaking system exists, that thing is for pussies, it creates a cancerous environment, you can carry all you fucking want but if someone is a complete server slot filler, he will never improve and stay silver for the rest of his fucking and miserable live, they contribute to nothing but complaints forcing devs to take measures and do shitty stuff that damages both the game itself and good players who get stuck with them due MM system forcing 5 losses and 5 wins, that's pure shit and I refuse to touch any game with this kind of system.

I wouldn't be surprised if the horror stories were just related to fucked windows installs, like not long ago I had an old HDD start making some noises and I tried to remove it since it was pretty loud and I guess windows installed some boot files on it for some reason, it wasn't the OS drive but removing it made windows not boot so I had to do a full reinstall and I made sure only the drive I wanted the OS on was connected before installing so it wouldn't fuck up somehow again

No, they're only a security feature for preventing physical MITM attacks on-boot. TPM can do some OS level stuff (put the bitlocker keys in it for Windows, and I guess Linux in a way if you use EFS), but they're generally for UEFI/BIOS only with SecureBoot only kicking in to make sure the "key" for the OS(es) are valid on boot.

EA asking for it just them taking MS's dick since MS is asking Win11 installs to require them. Most PC's now a days will have both on, but a lot of legacy enterprise software from like 2010-2012 won't despite some having TPM 1.0-2.0 in them.

Even so, there are linux distributions that support it, and Secure Boot can always be turned off in the BIOS. It's an optional feature, not a method to lock you in. MS requiring it for Windows is just mandating a layer of rootkit protection. There's been no talk or evidence of making motherboards Secure Boot only and locking out other OSes.

BF1 is unironically one of the only shooters I can play on PC that doesn’t seem filled to the brim with cheaters but the game is basically dead for some reason. Probably because the server Jannie’s just ban anyone that kills them. I mean I’ll go like 22/4 and get banned just because I like infantry and I’m good at shooting games. You literally can’t win, you either cheat and kill the game or get banned when you aren’t cheating by some soft admin and the game dies anyways. Gaming is done.

Monitoring kernel stuff and doing anything to kernel stuff is something else entirely. All the """""kernel""""" anti cheats don't do anything at the kernel level, the only thing they do is monitor deep enough so that you can't just cheat by using VM enviroments for your cheats. It doesn't do anything by itself and only parses that info to the game itself which depending on the developer can take measures depending on what it sees. Delta Force's anti cheat is the only actual kernel one I know since the way it functions is that it literally sits there and the moment it notices something it doesn't like, it crashes your entire PC.

No, moron, it does not have more privillege than you have, it doesn't have any privillage, it cannot do literally everything and it doesn't even have the ability to do something by itself. Calling it "ring 0" access is even total misinformation. Anti cheats just monitor stuff deeper than your usual program that can generally monitor only the stuff running on the currently running windows enviroment, so you can't use hacks by running them off an isolated enviroment, but it's the same exact thing as any software that wants to scan ur pc for any other reason, and it just looks, thats its only function, it doesn't have the ability to do anything. Only exception I know of is, again, the one delta force uses.

I don't know if its just luck but I never had these server issues in 4, 1 or 5. Every server I ended up it be it official or community never had cheaters or admins going wild, and I always find vanilla cozy servers in bf1.

In general I don't think I've ever encountered wonky multiplayer stuff in games. The only time I saw an actual cheater in a random proper server was CS Source. Its why I never understood why youtubers and devs are so focused on anti cheats when it seems basic anti cheats already makes it incredibly rare to ever see a cheater.

Anyone who ever claims this is what it was like is either lying and is underage, or you were an obnoxious little fag who got banned from a lot of servers for being a cunt.
It only ever took a matter of weeks for a game's server browser to organically sort itself. Good servers with just admins rose to the top in consistently being full of players while cheaters and little shits got banned, and all the shitty servers with awful admins eventually became ghost towns.

Companies just use this because they're lazy and cheap, they don't want to have a security team actually monitor for any of this.

You're trusting your hardware to jeets.
"kernel level" means the program can access any and all your hardware registers directly, without windows having any way to protect you from it.
You're a memory leak away from getting your entire system permanently bricked.

The reality is that microsoft at some point will ban it and offer you an interface to create an anti-cheat that don't actually run on kernel level.
Not even video drivers are allowed there anymore for a reason.

I don't think microsoft let many people actually touch the kernel code.
But to tell you story so to speak, From Win 3.11 to Windows 7 is a tale of microsoft increasing system stability by banning things to the user space.
In Windows 95 it was mostly just the user programs, then on XP they banned all USB drivers to the user space, on vista all drivers but video drivers were banned to user space, and WIn7 finally banned video drivers to the user space.
You wonder why you can update the video drivers on the fly on modern Windows? it's because of that. there is a series of API calls the "video drivers" use to access the hardware instead of accessing em directly.
The only exceptions that still exist are anti-viruses, anti cheat systems and a forbidden horrible generic driver that is used by RGB controllers.
And after the whole fiasco with CrowdStrike, microsoft is pretty much already planning to ban all of em out.
But as with video drivers, microsoft will just create an interface to allow anti viruses and anti-cheat software to still work indirectly.

A 1TB M2 drive is $75 today. So BF6 takes up 7.5% of the drive.

Battlefield 1942 was 1.2GB and hard drives were 40GB then, so it's 3% of space. But back then you played an assortment of many AAA games, whereas today you play a smaller amount of games since they take up way more time to play.

The greater hardware resources become, it only facilitates sloppy jeetcode and bloated, inefficient software. Don’t you get mad when everything is unoptimized as fuck and modern computers feel slow and laggy despite hardware increasing exponentially? There’s no reason a fucking game should be 70 GB. None. The point isnt to remove cheating, although im sure it would be a good end goal, it is to make cheating so expensive or difficult to do that it deters a large majority of people from doing it.
BF6 won't have a lot of cheaters for a bit if they get banned because every time they get caught thats $70 minimum to buy another copy to try again. Thats on top of the cheat software cost, which will be higher depending on how effective and difficult the anti cheat is to work around.

You've checked? Nobody you know locks their car? Even when they're out in town?
>cause no one that wouldnt break a window would open an unlocked door
lmao, yes, they would. You're retarded. It's much less risky and attention grabbing to check if a door is unlocked to grab something left behind than it is to smash open a window. I don't understand your logic either in insisting somebody who locks their door must be from a third world country and then going on to say nobody locks it where you live, not because the crime rate is so low, but because people will just break the fucking window. Wouldn't it be more pointless to lock it then in a third world country? Wouldn't someone be more hesitant to break windows in a safe, wealthy, low-crime neighborhood where people are more likely to be looking out for each other, walking about, and have security cameras?
