Essentially they didn't abide by the gentlemen;'s rules of the game - namely being when a robot is clearly disabled you don't go in then and utterly obliterate it. The hyno team were supposedly quite arrogant about the destruction they caused.

Fun to watch a little'un but as an adult and grasping the time, money and effort that went into the machines makes me understand the dislike of hypnodisc.
