Considering the last game was a hamfisted attempt at a belated "series celebration" with shitty fanservice, vtumor designs and basically not a real FE game, and the game before that was a persona dating sim that was even developed by an entirely different company and basically also not a real FE game, and the game before that was a shitty remake of the black sheep of the series nobody asked for, and the one before THAT one did a retarded pokemon 3-version split and basically had either shitty gameplay, or shitty story, or both, and before THAT came anime waifufaggotry that was the beginning of the end for the series, I'd say they're justified.

Fates has the best gameplay systems, this applies to both birthright and revelations too, the story is agreed to not be worth discussing

Three houses is a good game but not a good fire emblem game, secondaries love this but real fans can see all the flaws
