Gamesir is the best controller I have ever have
Highly recommend this to anyone interested in a high quality reliable controller with amazing build quality

The faceplate started shifting around after a while but that's the only issue I've had with it over one and a half years, which already makes it the most reliable controller I've had since the dualshock 4.

NGL mine died but the controller is so fucking good I purchased 2 refurbished ones for 20 euro each on geekbuying. The analog stick moves so smoothly.

I agree Anonymous! What an amazing device at an affordable price! Me and all my friends and family only use this controller!

I have that exact one. The rubber on the sticks started chaffing a bit and I don't find it quite as comfortable as an xbox one controller, but other than that it's pretty good.

So are Chinese controllers worth it or not? Anons here keep shilling them.

I mean it's not substantial damage. I doubt these controllers are gonna last you two decades but they'll probably be good for one.

always going to be a nuisance, first or third party
>longevity
My experiences over the years have been
>Madcatz
cables are made of wet tissue and will tear in a month
>8Bitdo
Brittle button rubbers easily tear. This is a $1 fix if it happens.
>Sony, Nintendo, Gamesir, Mobapad
No failures yet.
>Flydigi
Buttons and d-pad on a Vader 3 Pro all simultaneously started double clicking or not reading inputs at all. Got over 2000 hours out of it before it happened. Unsure if hardware failure, firmware bug, or me handling it like a gorilla.

I had three Xbox controllers broken STRAIGHT OUT OF THE BOX. All the others broke and got horrid stick drift in less than 6 months of mild use. I bought 3 of these bad boys for $30 each (HALF THE PRICE AS XBOX CONTROLLER) and it's absurd how much better they are in every way.

Game sir deserves dominance

The problem with Chinese anything is that it's a quality lottery. People shill 8bitdo as the cream of the crop whereas I had three of their controllers that all failed in different ways within five months.

Gamesir is somewhere between low and medium quality. I've had tons of problems with them but some of their more "expensive" ones are pretty good.

DESU I just kinda stick to 8bitdo whenever possible.

Its less about being chinese and more about how much the brand cares about QA.

As far as 8bitdo i've never had an issue with their controllers and i've owned those nes looking ones from back in the day, SN30pros, and more recently their 3c controllers but quality on that one remains to be seen.

8bitdo Ultimate 2 was my first non-official controller and while it is perfect in almost everything, it is flawed in a very important aspect which is comfort. Its shape causes pain to most people's hands. I got used to it after some months but it still doesn't feel good to hold it.

I'm tempted to try a 3rd party controller again, and I bet in recent years they've gotten better, and I think my old hands would appreciate back buttons, but after years of you guys pretending like those shitty logitech ones were even close to the quality of the first party controllers I don't trust a thing you fags say.

>I don't trust a thing you fags say
I don't trust them either. They want me to buy third party controllers because they have hall effect or TMR sticks, meanwhile every other component is garbage. Shit like 8BitDo even gets the shape wrong.
Anonymous No.717121039
>>717115609
They're kind of a workhorse product sorta thing so long as you know what you're getting. They don't feel special, they don't do anything special beyond hall effect/TMR and the 1000hz polling rate which has its compatibility issues, and so forth. But they're cheap and for Xbox controllers without gyro functionality, they basically get everything you need done plus the tuning software is there for autists. I've still got my G7 SE from two years ago and at best my right bumper feels a bit worn out, but I've dropped it a few times.

Jokes aside, I am tired of my Xbox Series X controller and Dualsense is a pain to make work on PC.

3rd party has come a long way in recent years. But man logitech is an absolute shitshow. Use to love their mice and controllers until every mouse started dying after about a year of basic use in the form of double clicking.

The thing about 3rd party controllers, especially with "good ones" is that the entire line is rarely good. Low end Gamesirs are absolute trash, mid and high range are pretty good but they're overpriced.

No issues with the current lineup of 8bitdo, the cheaper 3c controllers can be had for around $16 on sale and they're rock solid, though I prefer the feel of the midrange ones.

If you're looking for lockon controllers for phones, then shit goes off the rails.

The Razer Kishi Ultra is amazing, but the price is obscene. I'd reccomend going for ones that use an actual usb c connection as some of the bluetooth gamesirs are fucky when it comes to IOS and will randomly fail to connect.

8bitdo has a decent one, but it both bluetooth and android only. The only good benefit of those bluetooth lockon controllers is that can can also easily be used as a standard controller as long as they're compatible.

Why? It's perfect for 3D games.
>>717121078
>Dualsense is a pain to make work on PC
Just use Steam Input. Even if you get your games from GOG or other stores you can just add them as non-Steam games and it'll work. Most new games don't even need that and support DualSense natively.

Depends on your budget. I'd go with the 8BitDo Ultimate 2C if you dont want to spend a ton, but as much as I hate nintendo as a company, their pro controller is super comfy.

The recommended all seem to be Gamesir Cyclone 2 or G7 Pro, Vader 4 Pro, 8bitdo Ultimate 2. It's one of those cases where you fish around for what looks interesting and the reviews, make sure you don't get gipped by bad shipments and build quality phases or some such.
